Hellerwork Structural Integration
Eric completed a 750-hour Massage Therapy certification course at the Arizona School of Integrated Studies in Sedona, Arizona, in 1999. In 2000, he moved to Santa Cruz, California, to study Acupuncture at Five Branches School of Oriental Medicine. After completing two years of Acupuncture, he moved to Vermont to begin a family. He has been living in the Montpelier Area since 2002. He invented a tool to clean motorcycle chains, which gave him the privilege of being a stay-at-home dad.
In 2014, Eric chose to reenter the healing arts field to be more involved in the local community and to continue developing his craft as a hands-on health practitioner. He graduated from a 1025 hr. Structural Integration certification course in February 2017, and is a Certified Hellerwork Practitioner. He is a member of The International Association of Structural Integration and The American Bodywork and Massage Association.
Eric chose to study and practice Hellerwork Structural Integration because it is a powerful, unique and effective bodywork modality. Through its holistic approach, Hellerwork sessions combine deep-tissue bodywork, movement education, and awareness dialogue to identify and resolve unhelpful patterns ingrained in the body’s connective tissue. Clients experience improvement in their postural alignment, relief from chronic pain, increased range of motion and a heightened sense of ease in their body.
Eric is excited to be part of River Street Wellness and to offer Hellerwork as a complementary health care option to people in our community who are currently experiencing pain, poor posture, movement restrictions, or who just want to feel better.
