Joshua Singer has practiced acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in Montpelier, Vermont, since 2003. Over that time, he has developed a deep connection to the central Vermont community through the relationships built in patient care. Josh shows a genuine enthusiasm for helping his patients. He focuses on identifying the root cause of illness or dysfunction rather than only treating symptoms. Patients consistently describe him as a compassionate listener and an effective practitioner.
While pursuing his pre-med degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Josh took a semester away from school to travel extensively. During this time, he explored medical care in other countries and studied approaches that existed before modern Western medicine took its current form. This experience drew him toward Chinese medicine. That interest led him to live in Shenyang, China, for one year. He later completed a three-year Master’s program at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Josh is a diplomate in acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is licensed in Vermont. He uses acupuncture, herbal medicine, and massage to help patients improve their health.
